Seamour Sheep is usually accompanied by a wiseacre mole named Marty. When asked why he is blue, he responded:

"Because I was raised by smurfs, allright?! Hurry up with those highly intelligent questions of yours, I've got more useful things to do, such as bugging Seamour!"

Marty says that he likes to annoy Seamour, to help him become less stubborn and naive.
